If you feel called to share a part of your story, first, thank you for entrusting soulwritten.life with your words. Here's how to submit a letter, reflection, or memoir fragment for possible publication. Note that you may also submit Codex articles for consideration. Please read these guidelines in full prior to submitting or pitching to SWL.
Submission guidelines
- Submissions must be original work. Light use of AI tools (e.g., for spelling, clarity, or structure) is acceptable, but the voice, message, and authorship must be of the author only. Submissions that appear generated or heavily AI-assisted will be declined.
- In most cases, stories are shared without bios or links. This keeps the archive uncluttered and the work sacred. If you deeply feel your name or contact should be included, I'm open to quiet exceptions, but the default is anonymity, presence, and purity of voice.
- Submissions may be featured in the Memoir, Correspondence, or Codex sections of SWL, as deemed appropriate.
- Submissions may be lightly edited and formatted for clarity and tone, while preserving your voice.
- The length of submissions may vary, but I recommend anywhere from 500 to 5000 words, depending on content type.
- There are four ways to format and submit (all submissions require submission form completion, regardless of format):
- Shared doc URL (Google doc, Dropbox file, etc.),
- Content upload (Google doc, PDF, Word doc, etc.),
- Pasted content (paste your words within the submission form), OR
- Emailed content (see form for details).
- You may submit anonymously or under a chosen name. Please note that certain posts are titled by first name only (first names of pen names and aliases are acceptable).
- You must agree to our submission terms.
Other things to know
- I read every submission, even if I'm not able to respond to each one individually.
- If your piece is selected for publication, I'll reach out directly to let you know.
- Soulwritten.life is a quiet, curated space—I publish slowly and intentionally.

Want to reply to a specific piece? If a piece speaks to you and you feel called to reply, you may send a letter in return. Please note that not all response letters will be published. I may excerpt or include fragments of your reply in future Dispatches, while preserving the original context and intention as much as possible. To submit a response letter, follow the submission process above.
